INVESTMENT IN HUMAN RESOURCES FOR SUCCESS IN TOURISM... ACADEMY Q WENT INTO THE SUMMER SEASON WITH ITS GRADUATES OF THE 2nd PERIOD!

Having created the biggest difference in the Mediterranean through taking the first step in the service industry following its philosophy of “investment in human capital for success in tourism…”, Ela Quality Resort has made a long-term investment in the region in which some hotels are closed down in the winter months and provides for all of its employees a series of comprehensive training courses from customer contact to language education.
In our hotel, in which Academy Q was established with a great investment in the very early stage of construction for instilling the awareness of quality in service into all of its employees, every member of the staff can offer services to our guests only after successful completion of specific training provided before the starting date of employment.
Academy Q that was put into operation before the opening of our hotel in 2007 has opened its doors. This January a new training programme started, with its heavy curriculum and participants who have dedicated themselves to the service industry.

Our team-mates participate in a series of training at Academy Q which range from foreign language training to personal development, from on-the-job training to such training courses through which they can develop their managerial skills; and thus, they both develop themselves and offer superior services to our guests.
Another point that distinguishes Academy Q 2 is that its training programme is prepared by our Training Group composed of the hotel managers in accordance with the requests received from the departments and thus considers the requirements.

While 144 hours of foreign language (English, German and Russian) training was provided per person until the end of March, 150 employees were prepared for the season at Academy Q with a training programme of 587 hours in total, covering the management skills, personal development, interviewing techniques, training of the coach, sales and marketing, stress management and in-house regulations, etc. Upon completion of the training courses, the employees took examinations and our team mates who successfully passed the exam, received the Academy Q–2 Certificate of Achievement.

In addition to the training courses oriented toward personal development, the social activities such as tournaments and motivation excursions, etc. are encouraged. We are take pride in working with a very important name, Mr. Prof. Dr. İlhan Erdoğan in the trainings organized for personal development. In the courses lectured by Mr. Erdoğan who also serves as the consultant of our institution, we store into our memories knowledge about ourselves, and about life and our services; and we are happy to implement what we learn into our jobs and our private life.

It is of no doubt that the rate of “loyal guests” that has been increasing gradually thanks to the debonair customised service understanding and the high-quality services provided for the guests is the greatest award granted to Academy Q.
