ELA QUALITY RESORT HOTEL HAS CROWNED AGAIN ITS QUALITY IN GASTRONOMY…

Having previously received numerous awards, Ela Quality Resort Hotel received several awards at the 7th International Istanbul Gastronomy Festival bringing together the professional cooks and gastronomy-lovers from the World and Turkish cuisine.

The festival organized in 2008 with the participation of 1200 cooks from Turkey and 800 cooks from 20 foreign countries is considered as one of the most important competitions of the world in this field. In the festival held at TUYAP since March 21, nearly 1684 cooks participating from numerous countries including especially the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, Bulgaria, Greece, Azerbaijan, Russia, Canada, Ukraine, and Romania, etc. have competed with each other for winning medals in various fields in this year. In the competition held with the participation of 150 chefs in the jury committee that was composed of international jury members, Ela Quality Resort team was also deemed worthy to receive several awards in different branches.

In the competition, Ela Quality Resort Hotel was represented by the Executive Sous Chef,  Muzaffer Aydın who was also in the National Team of Cooks, the Chef of French Cuisine, Ferhat Ülker and the Kitchen Decoration Artist, Abdi Gündüz .

The team that left behind 40 rival teams in total, including 20 national and 20 foreign teams was awarded with the Gold Prize in the section of Masters of Lamb Dishes with its dish of “Pekmezde Pişirilmiş Ayva Eşliğinde Kuzu Küşnemesi” (Lamb Cooked in Grape Molasses with Quince) from the menu of Kuşhane A La Carte Restaurant of the hotel serving samples from the Ottoman Palace cuisine.

In the competition, the dish named “Somon Kek Üzerine Morel Mantarı Dolması” (Stuffed Morel Mushroom on Salmon Cake) offered in the menu of La Passion A La Carte Restaurant of the hotel serving samples from the French Cuisine was awarded the Bronze Prize in the Masters of Mushroom Dishes Section.

In the Modern Cuisine Section, another section where no gold prize was awarded, the dish named “Bıldırcına Sarılı Karides ve Taze Baharatlarla Panelenmiş Dana Bonfilesi” (Shrimp Wrapped in Quails and Beef Steak Blended with Fresh Spices) offered in the menu of La Perla Italian A La Carte Restaurant of the hotel allowed Ela Quality Resort Team to be awarded with the Silver Prize. The team that won a series of awards also succeeded in winning two Merit Prizes in the Local-Unique Cuisine Section with the dish named “Balık İslim Kebabı” (Fish Wrapped in Eggplant Slices) offered in the menu of Kuşhane A La Carte Restaurant and the dish named “Bal ve Susamla Panelenmiş Somon Balığı” (Salmon Breaded with Honey and Sesame) offered in the menu of Teppanyaki Hida Japanese A La Carte Restaurant.

The kitchen team of Ela Quality Resort Hotel that has been allowing its guests to set out a virtual gastronomic journey with its different tastes that is has been offering from the very first day of its foundation, has not only crowned its recipes, but also turned the tasteful dishes that they serve into a visual feast and let them meet with the audience; and thus, it won two Gold Prizes in the Ice Cutting and Vegetable Carving Sections.
